The Shimadzu advertising campaign as well as the graphics of the exhibition stands, the general catalogue or the screen saver approach the scientific microcosm with an artisitic brushwork. They do not copy the nanoworld reality, but dramatize technological aspects with artistic means, in order to give the expert readers or viewers ideas of what is happening inside the Shimadzu systems, how substances are guided through the systems, how they are detected or processed. This way, the Shimadzu "Science World" makes the molecular world visible - and not just detectable.
